Rikke Rønholt is a former professional runner in the 400 and 800 meters. She is a Danish Record Holder in the 400 m distance. All through her career she has been engaged in advocacy activities related to her sport. She has held numerous keynotes on the important link between sport, education and development, exemplified by her own experiences, and that of her parents for whom sport was a powerful social mobility catalyst. Ms Rønholt currently sits in the government appointed consortium charged with mobilising Danish civil society around the Women Deliver Conference in Copenhagen in May this year.
