I studied Law in Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor. While growing up there, I experienced first-hand, the effects of gender inequality for the girl-child in an urban city of sub-Saharan Africa. While in university, I attended leadership trainings and worked as a Training Facilitator with Ndu-Ike-Akunuba Leadership institute, an NGO that organises leadership trainings for female undergraduates to inspire them to achieve their highest potential in life.
I moved to Belgium in 2010 and started a family. I am currently working at the Belgian Ministry of Finance in Brussels while following the Advanced Masters in European Law at Université Catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve. I wish, in the future, to work in eliminating Gender inequality but in the time being, I wish to acquire the necessary skills needed and also, to participate in activities on Gender equality so as to remain aware of actions in this area.
