Haja Ranaivo

I am women who have been made aware of this issue of gender inequality quite lately as I have never exerienced it or maybe I have not just noticed it yet. Recently there have been so many facts that were an eye opener. In my working environment discussions have started on gender equality, on women and eoncomic empowerement and I wanted to contribute into advancing the discussion and the debate. Certainly like all women who joined this network, I want to do something to make things change, but when statring to look at the subject, I just realised how immense the task is and how emotional the subject is for everyone out there both men and women. Therefore, joining a network will certainly help me to undertand what the issues really are, what have been done so far and what are the projects to try to address the issues that have been identified so far. I have also come up with some couple of ideas that I would wish to share with the experts out there. I am also a strong believer of more data is required to support the right and adeqaute decisions and I wish to contribute as well in this field . Looking forward to fruitfull discussion with everone here. Haja
