The European Centre is a UN-affiliated intergovernmental organization of applied social science and comparative empirical research. It has long standing experience in conducting comparative research on and analysis of modern welfare states and their social security systems with a focus on social exclusion and poverty, activation policies, health and long-term care, public health and social services.
