Congratulations to Albania for their first national Gender Equality Index! This EU candidate country achieved a score of 60.4 out of 100 - just 7 points below the 2019 EU average of 67.4.
"Now that Albania has its own Gender Equality Index, it will be able to monitor progress. With a detailed analysis of remaining gender equality challenges, politicians can use the Index as a strategic guide to plan policy measures," said Virginija Langbakk, EIGE Director, in the opening of the event.
- Albania's Gender Equality Index was developed with EIGE's support and follows #EIGEIndex methodology.
