13 OCT: International Conference FGM – a matter of human rights and gender equality

The international conference on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) organized in Helsinki, Finland on the 13th of October 2016 will host a panel on FGM/C policies in the Nordic Countries and the EU. Jurgita Pečiūrienė -  EIGE's Gender Expert will be presenting EIGE's work in the area. More information can be found here.

The conference is organized by the Finnish League for Human Rights in cooperation with the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and it forms a part of the Programme for the Finnish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers 2016. The conference is also supported by RAY, the City of Helsinki, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
