Dan Moldovan graduated law school and since 2006 has been employed as counselor for European affairs within the Romanian Ministry of Labour and Social Justice. From 2007 he stared mainly to work in gender equality field and all its related sub domains at the National Agency for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men.
In the field of gender equality, had as responsibilities: to monitor, assist and accomplish the commitments of the Romania status of full membership at EU; to transpose the Community acquis, the European directives, strategies and policies into the national law and policies; to participate and offer full support to his unit of work for all the national policies, strategies and activities related to gender equality.
He was part of the team who managed the implementation of the activities developed in Romania for 2007 – the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All. Between 2009 and 2014 was by rotation, member or alternate member, within the High Level Group on Gender Mainstreaming (HLG) of the European Commission. From 2016 he is a member of the Advisory Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men and alternate member of the HLG.
