Athens, 22-3-2017              To: - EIGE.

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to inform you that the General Secretariat for Gender Equality (GSGE), i.e. the governmental organization in charge of equality between women and men in Greece, has widely publicized the Gender Pioneers Awards 2017 in Greece: http://www.brsmeas.org/Gender/GenderPioneerAwards/tabid/5819/language/en-US/Default.aspx .

More specifically:

detailed article written by the competent GSGE Director for Development & Support of Policies on Gender Equality has already been uploaded on our page of the website on the internet and the facebook with positive reaction by citizens, both men and women; although the article is in Greek, you will recognize the link to your website at once .

The relevant links are the following:

In addition, the relevant GSGE document has already been communicated since the 21st of March, 2017 by us to a number of public organizations and independent bodies in Greece. The recipients of our document have been, among others, the General Secretariat of the Government, competent Ministries, as well as all the key social partners.

In that way, further promotion and greater visibility both of the UNO leading and inspirational role on environment and gender equality and of our commitment to equality between women and men have been achieved by our initiative among competent Greek stakeholders.

The Greek side would be grateful if you informed your leadership and the officials of the competent administrative units accordingly.

Wishing you and all the members of your team the very best,

                                                                                             Yours sincerely,

THE DIRECTOR
