The 'Manual for the integration of the gender dimension in the allocation procedures for subsidies' explains how government institutions can ensure that differences between women and men are taken into account by organisations or in projects that receive government funding. The manual gives instructions and examples. These clarify which actions can be undertaken throughout the susbsidy procedure in order to pass the the message that the reception of funds depends on whether differences between women and men are being taken into account or not.
The manual is accompanied by a 'Checklist for the integration of the gender dimension in the allocation procedures for subsidies'. For each of the possible steps of the allocation procedure, the checklist presents one or more questions that can help to integrate the gender dimension throughout the entire procedure in a coherent manner.
The Manual and Checklist are publications of the Belgian Federal Institute for the equality of women and men.
