Starting with 2018, EIGE’s Gender Statistics Database will make available data on violence through a newly restructured entry point. The entry point will give more visibility to data on violence against women, including data collected by the Member States. Although they are not always comparable, these data sets - available only in EIGE’s Gender Statistics Database - provide unique insights into the violence against women phenomenon in Europe.
The newly restructed entry point will present data according to of the Istanbul Convention definitions, aiming to increase clarity and reduce duplication of the indicators.
We have already prepared the proposal for the entry point and we want to hear your opinions about it. Join us, in the first online discussion of 2018, to put the proposal for the entry point on gender-based violence to a test!
The proposal for the entry point and questions to be raised during the discussion will be soon available under Resources tab, but these are in a nutshell the areas we will be focusing on:
- the overall structure,
- the division of indicators into sub-sections,
- the proposal for the visual presentation of data.
The online discussion takes place in the form of writing on 12 January 2018, 10.00 am - 4.00pm CET.
On the day of the online discussion, login to your EuroGender account in order to be able to post comments. If you are not a registered member of EuroGender, click here to register.
