Gender-segregated data on the status of women PhD holders in Greece

Here are some indicative gender-segregated data:
 
1) 13.793 Women PhD holders (percentage 38,9%); 45,1% of them belong to the age group under 35 years old
 
2) average age for gaining the PhD degree: 38 years old (37 years old for men and 38 years old for women)
 
3) 3% of male PhD holders and 4,3% of female PhD holders are unemployed
 

4) 95,6% of male PhD holders and 93,6% of female PhD holders have a job

5) 13,7% of male PhD holders and 9,4% of female PhD holders are self-employed

6) 56,9% of PhD holders work in the field of tertiary and post secondary education (35,8% of them are men and 21,1% of them are women)

7) 20,6% of PhD holders work in the government/public sector (11,7% of them are men and 8,9% of them are women)

8) 8,7% of PhD holders work in the sector of enterprises (6,5% of them are men and 2,2% of them are women)

9) 81,1% of PhD holders are involved in research activities (83% of them are men and 77,9% of them are women)

10) 90% of PhD holders in the field of tertiary and post secondary education deal with research activities (about the same percentage for both men and women)

11) 50,3% of male PhD holders and 41,8% of female PhD holders in the sector of enterprises deal with research activities.
